C19th bib front shirt
1880-1910
The plain front of this shirt reflects the growing austerity in men’s clothing.
After much experimentation we have found a cotton cambric which replicates the crisp cotton used in C19th. It is a humble cloth which shrinks so these shirts have been made to take account of this. The odd flaws do add to the very authentic look.
These shirts were customarily worn with separate stiff collars so are made with the appropriate buttonholes.Single cuff.
Made by traditional English shirt makers.
